About MCHS
In 1976, a group of parents, wanting a different education for their preschool children, decided to open a Montessori school. Since that day, Montessori Children's House of Southbridge (MCHS) has successfully educated over 1000 children, between the ages of 2.9 and 6, in the tri-community area.
Mission Statement
Montessori Children's House of Southbridge (MCHS) strives to create an environment where academic excellence can be achieved within a community that promotes creativity and responsibility. In the Montessori tradition, MCHS seeks to help each child discover their joy in learning as well as their place in the greater society. By strengthening the bonds between the parents, children and staff of MCHS, the sense of family will become a stable base from which each child can explore themselves, their community and the world.
