Montessori Philosophy

The Montessori Philosophy states that all children are endowed with the natural capacity to absorb knowledge from their environment in the same way that young children learn their native culture and language. It is believed that education is a natural process that unfolds in the form of sensitive periods, times when children can most easily grasp and learn specific skills and concepts. This natural process of learning is enhanced by providing an enriched and specially prepared classroom where children are able to manipulate materials that demonstrate basic educational information to them at a pace consistent with their own period of interest and readiness.
